Mimco’s Local Colour campaign was all about big and bold jewels. Chunky gold shapes and emerald
greens absolutely popped against Abeny Nhial’s silky complexion, making our job easy. We worked hard
to gently remove any distracting blemishes while still maintaining a natural texture and movement to the
model’s skin.
Mimco’s signature super-luxe style was nailed once again by powerhouse duo Georges Antoni
(photographer) and Sally Coggle (creative director), with the Moroccan-inspired shoot opting for brightly
painted walls as the backdrop. Georges’ playful shooting perspective meant maintaining the film’s artistic
integrity, while still adding enough sharpness for high-usage campaign advertising.
We loved the interplay between Abeny’s rich tones and the brightness of the gold accessories, and
played with shadowing to enhance the juxtaposition. This brand is super playful with an avante-garde
fashion aesthetic, and we are always excited to see what Mimco will do next.
